Lutheran Hospital  has an opportunity for a Physician Assistant with the neurosurgery program -OR First Assist opportunity!  APP will work with surgeons as a nocturnist to manage the full continuum of neurosurgical care with this dynamic team!

Details of Position:

  •  Nocturnist, 12 hour shifts; 14 shifts/month - Zero call responsibilities!
  •  First Assist in OR
  • Full spectrum of neurosurgery care - pre op and post op care
  • Round on post-o patients in the hospital and see ED consults
  • Monitor, consult and act as liaison between surgeon, patient, family and staff
  • Collaborative team of neurosurgeons and advanced practice providers

Lutheran Hospital is a 396-bed tertiary care facility that opened on Thanksgiving Day in 1904. Lutheran’s areas of specialized care include northern Indiana’s only heart and kidney transplant programs, an accredited bariatric surgery program, Level II verified adult and pediatric trauma centers, an accredited and commended community hospital cancer care program and a certified primary stroke center. In addition to transplantation, Lutheran’s trailblazing history of heart care is evident through its accreditations as a heart failure institute and chest pain center. It has also achieved advanced certification from The Joint Commission for ventricular assist devices and was the first hospital in northern Indiana to perform transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
