Physicians Regional Medical Center in Naples, FL is seeking a Physician Assistant with a minimum of 3 years' Cardiothoracic Surgery experience to join 3 Cardiac Surgeons and 2 Physician Assistants.
The position is a full-time salaried position with job responsibilities including first assisting in the operating room, daily rounds and anticipated call 1:3.
You will be joining a program that provides world-class care in beautiful Naples, FL and a team that works cohesively, sharing all duties. We perform over 400 cases per year, including both cardiac and general thoracic cases while maintaining a 3-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for patient care and outcomes. The size of the open heart program coupled with the location of Naples, FL provides for an ideal work-life balance.
The Physician Assistant will:
- Be skilled in first assisting in cardiac and thoracic surgery cases
- Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting
- Proficient in radial artery harvesting
- Complete daily rounding in CVICU and Step Down units
- Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Have completed an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Have a current NCCPA certification
- Have an active FL PA license
- Be skilled in completing consultations including patient histories and physical exams
