Job Description

Crestwood Medical Center is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physicians for our outpatient primary care clinics, along with Core Faculty to join our team.

Role Overview

  • Outpatient clinic locations:  Huntsville, AL and Madison, AL
  • Hospital-employed opportunity with comprehensive hospital coverage
  • Obstetrics is optional
  • Involvement in ACO participation to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Core Faculty will supervise residents in outpatient Family Medicine, have an independent practice and dedicated administrative time 

Core Faculty Teaching Responsibilities

  • Engage in didactics, educational activities, and assist with lectures, journal clubs, M&M conferences, orientation week, simulation day, and research days.
  •  Help foster scholarly activity, including case publications, QI projects, and writing book chapters or articles.
  •  Supervise residents’ clinical work in outpatient settings, ensuring hands-on training and guiding them with critical teaching points.
  •  Provide detailed feedback to residents, both informal and formal, ensuring their development throughout rotations.
  • Assist with interviewing residency program candidates.
  • Attend social gatherings as available.
  • Ensure residents are aware of their educational goals and schedules.
  • Supervise residents’ documentation in the EMR and care plans, reviewing notes and ensuring appropriate billing modifiers are used when applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Family Medicine (U.S.)
  • Completed Family Medicine residency in the U.S.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Visa sponsorship is not available at this location
