Northwest Health is seeking a program director for our ACGME accredited Family Medicine Program.  We welcome six residents per year into our comprehensive program.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for medical education and training residents combined with a strong focus and commitment to ensuring patient care remains a priority.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Approximately 50% administration and 50% clinical.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education is maintained
  • Establish strategic direction of the program, its standards, quality, and reputation of the Family Medicine Residency program as followed by faculty and residents.
  • Residency program practice management, overall residency operations, and resident oversight.
  • Program recruitment, interviews, and selection of residents.
  • Recruit and oversee faculty and clinical rotations
  • Maintain ongoing clinical activity in Family Medicine, consistent with ACGME guidelines.
  • Teach residents through clinical and didactic work.

Requirements:

  • Documented educational and/or administrative experience required
  • Board certified in Family Medicine
  • Clinically practicing physician
  • Experience in graduate medical education required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to effectively deal with a broad range of people and personalities.
