Job Description

Lutheran Health Physicians, located in Ft. Wayne, IN is seeking a BC/BE, Gastroenterologist for our GI Hospitalist Service. You will join a large multi-specialty group currently with 7 gastroenterologists and 4 APPs.   Primarily based at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, this position will primarily focus on inpatient consultations, rounds and procedures. ERCP capability is helpful, but not necessary.

We offer advanced Cardiovascular and Neurovascular services including catheter based and surgical interventions, as well as cardiac and renal transplantation, a Comprehensive Cancer Center, Advance general, trauma and colorectal surgery. Other services include a Lutheran Children’s Hospital, with Pediatric Subspecialty care including Pediatric Gastroenterology and Surgery and the only Pediatric Emergency Department in the region.

Lutheran Hospital is a 396-bed tertiary care facility that opened on Thanksgiving Day in 1904. Lutheran’s areas of specialized care include northern Indiana’s only heart and kidney transplant programs, an accredited bariatric surgery program, Level II verified adult and pediatric trauma centers, an accredited and commended community hospital cancer care program and a certified primary stroke center.
