Job Description

The Orthopedic Hospital, part of the Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN, has an opportunity for a BC/BE Hospitalist to join the team in expanding the service line, one year or more experience preferred.  This Day Shift opportunity provides the physician with an opportunity to collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and sub specialists in providing medical management of surgical patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical management for inpatients at the request of orthopedic surgeons
  • Assess patients for pre-operative clearance as necessary
  • Oversee and collaborate with team of Advanced Practice Providers
  • Day shift responsibilities with night and weekend call in rotation with APPs
  • Participate in intra-disciplinary care planning activities
  • Supportive, collaborative hospital leadership structure in partnership with physician leadership
