Position Overview
- Full-time, inpatient-only ICU position
- 14 twelve-hour shifts per month (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Flexible block scheduling available
- 35-bed ICU
- Cerner EMR system
- Physician-led supervision of advanced practice providers (APPs)
- Estimated credentialing timeline: ~90 days (temporary privileges may be available)
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in one of the following:
- Internal Medicine / Emergency Medicine + Critical Care Medicine
- Internal Medicine + Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine
- Must be comfortable managing a high-acuity ICU environment
- H1B visa support available for physicians already counted in the cap
- J-1 visa waivers not accepted
Procedural Responsibilities
- Ventilator management
- Non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP)
- Chest tube insertion
- Bronchoscopy
- Central and arterial line placement
- Dialysis catheter insertion
- Intracranial pressure (ICP) evaluation and management
- Hemodynamic management (volume status and blood pressure)
- Lumbar puncture
- Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
