Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to join our employed medical group in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. This unique hybrid opportunity combines leadership of our inpatient rehabilitation program with the ability to build and grow an outpatient PM&R practice.

You'll join a collaborative rehabilitation team supported by experienced clinical staff, an established referral network, and an academic affiliation with a St. Louis residency program.

Position Highlights
Inpatient Rehabilitation
Lead the medical management of patients in a 19-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit with an average daily census of 10–12 patients. You'll work closely with therapists, nurses, and care teams to develop individualized rehabilitation plans for patients recovering from:
- Stroke
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Orthopedic injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation
- Other medically complex rehabilitation diagnoses
Outpatient PM&R
Maintain a dedicated outpatient clinic caring for patients with musculoskeletal, neurologic, and rehabilitation conditions. Based on your training and interests, you'll have the opportunity to perform procedures including:
- EMG and nerve conduction studies
- Joint and spine injections
- Botox injections
- Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy
- Orthotic management
Schedule & Call
- Full-time, 40-hour work week
- Hybrid schedule with inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic
- Approximately 10 call days per month
- Shared call with one additional physician
We're Looking for a Physician Who
- Is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Holds an MD or DO degree
- Is eligible for medical licensure
- Enjoys practicing both inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient PM&R
- Values multidisciplinary, team-based patient care
- Builds strong relationships with patients and colleagues
- Is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered rehabilitation medicine
