Daytime Hospitalist 7 on 7 off 12 hour shifts- Hattiesburg, MS

Merit Health Wesley is seeking a Daytime Hospitalist Physician to join our collaborative inpatient care team. Position Highlights

• Schedule: 7-on / 7-off
• Shift Length: 12-hour daytime shifts
• Compensation: $160/hour
• Hospital-employed position
• Fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized patients
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Perform hospital-based procedures including:
  • Central lines
  • Intubations
  • Codes and emergency response procedures
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary teams
• Ensure timely documentation and effective patient care coordination
• Adhere to hospital quality, safety, and clinical protocols

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Comfortable performing hospital-based procedures
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced inpatient setting
