FT or PRN Hospitalist - Natchez, MS

Merit Health Natchez is seeking a Hospitalist Physician to join our inpatient medicine team in either a full-time or PRN capacity. This opportunity includes a clear leadership track with potential progression toward Medical Directorship, offering both clinical practice and professional growth within a supportive hospital environment.    At Merit Health Natchez, you’ll be part of Community Health Systems, a national network of regional hospitals with a shared mission to deliver high-quality care where it’s needed most — close to home.  

Position Highlights

• Compensation: $160/hour (approximately $26,880+ per block)
• Schedule: 7-on / 7-off
• Shift Type: 100% daytime shifts
• Volume: ~168 hours/month
• Leadership track opportunity toward Medical Director role
• Flexible FT or PRN structure
• Open ICU
• Procedures required

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Comfortable doing procedures
• Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Interest in leadership development preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a structured inpatient environment
